To be fair to Rorate Caeli, I will admit that they do, now and again, post original pieces of genuine intelligence and insight. A fantastic example of this is Professor John Rao’s reflection, “From Marcellus II to Benedict XVI and Beyond.” It may be the single most impassioned and well-thought defense of B16′s Papacy from a traditionalist perspective yet written. Certainly is far more compelling and nuanced than the hyperbolic slop which has spilled forth from the rad-trad’s usual feeding troth of conspiracy theories, hyperbole, and uncharitable (to say nothing of baseless) accusations.
That was outstanding.
